1. About this policy

This Privacy Policy describes how Qardon, Inc. ("Qardon.com," "we," "us") collects, uses, and shares information about visitors to qardon.com and users of our B2B services. Qardon.com is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Fotoh, Inc. ("Fotoh"). This policy does not cover the separately-operated nonprofit at qardon.org, which has its own privacy policy.

2. Information we collect

2.1 Information you provide

  • Forms. Name, email, organization, role, intended use case, region, and free-text message content you submit via developer waitlist, partnership inquiry, careers, press, or contact forms on this site.
  • Email correspondence. If you write to us directly, we retain the message and metadata necessary to respond.

2.2 Information collected automatically

  • Server logs. IP address, user-agent, requested URL, timestamp, and referrer — kept for security and abuse prevention.
  • Cookies. Strictly-necessary cookies for session integrity. We do not run third-party advertising trackers on this site.

3. How we use information

  • To respond to your inquiry or process your application.
  • To operate, maintain, and improve our website and B2B services.
  • To detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, security incidents, and other harmful activity.
  • To comply with legal obligations, including responses to lawful requests from regulators.

4. Legal bases (GDPR)

  • Legitimate interests: running the business, responding to B2B inquiries, security.
  • Consent: for non-essential cookies and direct marketing where required.
  • Contractual necessity: for agreements with institutional customers.
  • Legal obligation: for tax, KYC, AML, and regulatory reporting.

5. Sharing

We do not sell personal information. We share information only with:

  • Service providers bound by confidentiality and data-protection terms (e.g., Cloudflare for hosting, email providers).
  • Professional advisors (legal, accounting, audit) under privilege or confidentiality.
  • Regulators and law enforcement when legally required.
  • Affiliates within the Fotoh, Inc. corporate family on a need-to-know basis.
  • Acquirers in connection with a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, subject to this policy.

We operate globally and process data in multiple jurisdictions. Where required, we use standard contractual clauses or equivalent safeguards for cross-border transfers.

7. Retention

We retain personal information only as long as necessary for the purposes described, plus any period required by law (tax, audit, regulatory). Form submissions are retained for up to seven years; server logs for up to 90 days.

8. Your rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or port your personal information, or to object to processing. Contact privacy@qardon.com to exercise these rights. We respond within statutory deadlines.

California residents (CCPA/CPRA): we do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

9. Security

We use commercially reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards. No system is perfectly secure; we do not guarantee absolute security.

10. Children

This site is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

11. Changes

We may update this policy. Material changes will be announced at the top of this page with a revised effective date.
